Weekend Market
After our first day out we didn't really do anything the next day. Luckily our apartment complex, Nonsi, has a pool. A lot of people go there throughout the day so its a good way to meet people.
Today though, after our recovery day, we went out to the Weekend Market Chatuchak, also called JJ (no clue how that works out). It was a huge outdoor market and per the title really only shows up on weekends. I think different sections are open throughout the week but the weekend is the time the whole thing is open. It has everything and we were all able to get what we were looking for; clothes, towels, bags, etc. I got two dresses for 100 baht each (roughly $3) and a pair of pants for 130 baht. It was fun.
Later today we went to the Unicorn Cafe. It was more or less what I expected. It was completely decked out in unicorn things and a lot of the food was rainbow. It was more expensive than our usually 40-60baht meals but not too bad overall. I had a giant chocolate cake deal and others got french fries, waffles. etc. It was a good time and certainly something off my bucket list. I think next up will be the Husky Cafe which is the same idea, you go to a cafe and the entire thing is themed Huskies, except this one actually has like 25 huskies on staff that people can hang out with.
Another fun night at Khao San and this time I managed to bring my phone. Now for a day to relax, except we have to go to Chula to get our pins and belts for class.
