Kuala Lumpur
Thursday morning Ashley, Jacey, and I travelled to Kuala Lumpur (KL for short), the capital city and largest city Malaysia. We left Nonsi at like 4:45am, took a cab to DMK airport, and then flew to KL at like 7:00am here to 10:00am KL time which is one ahead of Bangkok. We exchanged money Thai Baht is 33:1 for USD and their money the ringgit is 4:1 so when I handed in like 5,000 baht I got back like 600 something ringgit which was kinda sad to watch haha.
Our Airbnb ended up being with a Chinese Malaysian man named Bernard and his two good friends Isaac and Cody who were there pretty much full time. I hadn't really paid attention when booking because we had a private room in a house rather than a private full residence. It was fine though because Isaac and Cody were really cool and we actually saw them quite a bit. They took us out for food, gave us recommendations, and the last night we lazily all watched Rick and Morty together for like a few hours. Bernard was a bit busier so we didn't hang out with him as much.
It was cool because we were close in age and I've actually never become friends with people from Airbnb like that before.
The Airbnb was awesome. We had probably the best view I've ever had in my life of KL and the Petronas towers and there was an infinity pool for the apartment complex but no one used it so we basically had a private pool all to ourselves. Absolutely beautiful place, stunning view, great hosts, the only thing was that it was a total bachelor pad and was kinda filthy in the bathroom and kitchen. Luckily we weren't there for too long though and that was all manageable or avoidable or pretend you can't tell or aren't bothered for the most part...

Our first day we got to the Airbnb around noon which is like 11 Thai time and were pretty exhausted from all our travel so we all ended up passing out till honestly like 2:30 or 3:00pm. We finally went out in search of food and found a little market where I bough a really cute bag and we ate our first Indian food in KL. I didn't do any research into the country so I had no clue that it was mostly Islamic and some Buddhist and was not expecting all the delicious Indian food we had.

We had a good time on this trip, visited a pretty cool Jungle Canopy walk in the city and generally explored. Saw some funny signs, cool art, and managed to break the bed at the Airbnb. The dang thing was pretty gone by the time we got there, we had to keep fixing the slats in the bed because they weren't aligned properly on the center and they kept falling and the mattress would fall too but then I guess it just had it's last straw and broke entirely... Luckily Bernard knew it was old and kinda poorly made so he isn't charging us for it or anything! Super lucky! I left him a really positive Airbnb review too because honestly the place was amazing. For 3 nights we paid like $59 USD so that was like $19 each for three nights so it was well worth the value.
So we broke the bed at the Airbnb...
