My Fair Verona
After our lengthy journey from Rotterdam south to Lake Garda, and then our nap into the afternoon, we decided to make a little day trip to Verona. It's about an hour away and we made it in time to explore and get dinner by the river. I love Italy because of the food. Everything is good and it doesn't really matter what you order. Although I've been having a lot of Carbonara and bruschetta.
When we first got there Felix bought a phone charger because he lost his before we left for the trip. He was calling us phone obsessed up until the point that he got his charger back and then he too was on his phone a lot. Anna has been searching for a cheap phone case but hasn't yet found one. Right now I have an iPhone SE, Gaston has a 7Plus and an 8, Anna has a 10, and Felix has some random non-iphone so I don't even know what it is. Gaston and Anna take all the photo's we've been taking because they by far have the nicest phones here.
Verona was fun because obviously it is the home of Romeo and Juliette but honestly that wasn't the biggest attraction for us. They have the House of Juliette, or the Casa de Giulietta, but you can't really do much except walk into the courtyard, see the balcony, and theres a statue there where people take photos and touch the statue for eternal love and luck or something like that which is baffling to me because they literally had the worst luck in the world and both died and therefor ending their "eternal love".
We then walked around the city and explored the beauty, making extra sure to see a certain bridge that had been recommended to us. We also wanted to visit the castle in the city but it was already closed by the time we go there.
Dinner was at a small restaurant with a back patio which overlooked the river which was quite stunning. The food was good and we got gelato afterwards. Also this post is a photo dump because I wrote it first and put photos later and I honestly didn't think ahead enough so I just grouped them by selfies vs scenery.
